When to Heal

First and foremost, make sure you are always in cover before you heal. This might seem like common sense, but the amount of times I have killed players sitting out in the open healing is astounding. Take the few extra seconds and get to the nearest hard cover before popping that first aid or boost. If no hard cover is near, then at least throw a smoke down unless you 100% sure nobody is around.

If you have the time to use bandages to get to 75 health, then that is usually recommended. Saving the first aid kits and med kits for late game is important because they are faster methods of healing.

If you do not have the time, then first aid kits are next in line. They only take 6 seconds to cast compared to 8 for the med kit. Those 2 seconds can make a world of a difference in a fight.

Med kits heals the user to full health but take the longest to cast. They are best used after winning a fight in the mid to late game.

After a player gets to 75 health, they can then use their boosts to finish off the remaining health. It is recommended to use painkillers first if you have them to spare. This is because energy drinks only heal the user by 23 health instead 40 health. This means that players can only get to 98 health instead of 100 health. There have been many times that having that extra 2 health has saved my life.

It is also recommended to use boosts when stuck running through the blue. It will heal the user while the blue zone damages, slowing the effects of the blue zone by a decent amount. A full boosted player will also run 6.2% faster, so boosting fully will help players escape the blue zone quicker.
